Bright, mesmerizing, and highly interactive!
In this engaging performance by Rainbow Dance Theatre, students experience three captivating dances featuring illuminated costumes, props, and puppets. The use of light wire technology not only creates a visually stunning show, but also sparks curiosity about the world of STEM.
Throughout the performance, the artists reveal how they use the engineering design process to develop innovative dance technologies, including wearable electronic costumes and light-up puppets.
Students are invited to actively participate in demonstrations, discovering how coding and design come together in performance. Selected volunteers even get the chance to help create their own “ilumiDance” using a five-foot-tall light wire puppet.
